The Governors have a policy on behaviour agreed by all members of the school community which may be inspected at the school. We aim to promote the general awareness of the needs for self-discipline, to respect those in authority and to have a concern for the safety and well-being of others. A reward system is in place to celebrate good behaviour.

Initially staff on duty will handle unacceptable behaviour and children may be deprived of playtimes, set extra work etc. Should matters not improve, then the school will contact parents. Where possible, we would wish to develop a joint strategy for dealing with behavioural problems. Ultimately, parents are responsible for their children’s behaviour and temporary or permanent exclusion from school is not ruled out.

The children were asked in September 2014 if any changes needed to be made to the policy and it was clear that they feel it works very well. This policy will be up for review again at the beginning of next academic year.
