The Governors have a policy on promoting positive learning behaviour agreed by all members of the school community which may be viewed here: Promoting-Positive-Learning-Behaviours-Policy-September-2018-2020. We aim to promote the general awareness of the needs for self-discipline, to respect those in authority and to have a concern for the safety and well-being of others. A reward system is in place to celebrate good behaviour.
Initially staff on duty will handle unacceptable behaviour and children may be deprived of playtimes, set extra work etc. Should matters not improve, then the school will contact parents. Where possible, we would wish to develop a joint strategy for dealing with behavioural problems. Ultimately, parents are responsible for their children’s behaviour and temporary or permanent exclusion from school is not ruled out.
